After the party closed down, all went to a karaoke bar over on the west side of town. I blame this bar solely for my frazzled, tired state today. Damn you, live microphones and So-Co shots! Favorite picture of the night? Crums, belting out Sister Christian.

When drinking for a cause takes a nasty turn...

Goodness. It all started out sweet and lovely at the new, fab apartment of Kimms... We took a few "before" pictures (me, posing like captain morgan, for some awful reason), since we knew the "after" ones would be slightly incriminating (and they were). Please note the smiley-ness as the night progressed.

The Gift

I came equipped with Askew Design notecards, custom made for the birthday girl. Hilariously, a photographer shot the gift receiving moment, play by play. You could honestly make a flip book out of it.

Birthday Bash of the Century

Last night Crums (aka rebecca crumley), Kimms (aka rebecca kimmons), and I (aka drunkie) attended the birthday extravaganza of Julia Allison and Randi Zuckerberg. We knew we couldn't miss this-- not only were guests required to wear either pink or blue (all three of us had color appropriate dresses ready to go), but the event itself was held on a floor in the Men's Bergdorf Building overlooking the park and city ... and hey, all donations went to charity. We were drinking-- to help others... we are such amazing humanitarians.

And I can't wait to celebrate her presence tonight with all the Wakeforest girls... margaritas, chips and skanks*. A perfect end to a long week.

* skank is one of my favorite words. I know it's rude and I unapologetically love it. It can be a noun, adjective, adverb or verb. I.E. "She skankily skanked her way past a line of super skanky skanks". Or, if a girl is dressed like a sloot, you could even say "She is throwing down a skank bomb". Or if you plan to go to any bar on 2nd avenue in midtown, then you are officially heading to "Skanky Town". There really is no limit to the amount of fun you can have with it.

Little E is almost here!

Can not wait to have my fab seattle friend out and about tonight in the city... she's due to land in about 30 mins into Newark... and after a quick drop off of her belongings, it's time for a vino filled evening of catch-up and unlady-like behavior.

Oscar Goodie Bag Goodie

I met up earlier this week with Kate and David. Over drinks at the Ritz, we came up with designs for a VIP gift certificate to be included in a few select celebrity Oscar goodie bags for David's company. For those unfamiliar with Leather Spa, it is the ultimate in shoe repair-- they handle and restore the finest footwear. And for us ladies of NYC, it's necessary to have constant re-hoofing on our overly worn heels. Here's hoping for a siting of Angelina or Nicole in their Plaza store soon!

I'm so excited to see everyone in Memphis next week! As I told Thaler, please get the table at Zinnie's ready for some late night carousing and buffonery, high-school style. Last night, Ev and I met up with Scottie and Jason for another fun dinner out on the town. This time, we chose Gilt... a restaurant that resides in the Palace Hotel. The setting was amazing... an incredibly traditional interior juxtaposed against modern design accents. The food was positively delicious, and the staff was wonderfully attentive. Overall, A.

Nugget of the Week

My hero, Paula Deen, pictured above with her two best friends. I kid you not, she begins EVERY segment with "now you're gonna' take two cups of sour cream and a few sticks of butter...". Lady, I love you, salute you, and thank you for providing quality television while I nurse through my hangovers.
