White Christmas

Even though the storm came in late Christmas night, Memphis was hit

with a sprinkling of snow... a total rarity for these parts. Was wonderful

to watch in the dark while sipping on a nightcap.

Happy Holidays to All

Can't believe that Christmas has come and gone so quickly... and that I'm already

on the flight back to NYC. Hope everyone everywhere had a merry ole time.

Christmas Gift Idea: Monogrammed Envelope Clutch

I am defenseless against a hot pink/hunter green/monogram combo. It

really resonates with my inner preppy nerd. These clutches make great custom

xmas gifts (and for only $40 a pop). Click here to see the full etsy

shop and to choose color palette.

Bulb Bouquet

Love this DIY idea for making a holiday wedding bouquet

out of glass, metallic ornaments.

More Askew Couture

Another outtake from this weekend's photoshoot.

TCO Holiday Windows

It's hard not to brag about this year's Tiffany Holiday windows...

I know the members of our creative visual merchandising team and their talent

and dedication to creating jaw dropping displays is utterly inspiring.

If you have the chance, make sure to swing by our flagship store on 5th ave

to take in this year's park avenue themed creations.

Can't Believe

That this was Manhattan only a month ago.

New Askew Couture Site

Sooo excited for the relaunch! Coming before Christmas... stay tuned.

Kimmies and I have been working hard and we are super pleased with what is

coming down the pike.

Skeet Shooting Pics

At long last- My overdue photos from our perfect CT weekend.

Little did we know that it would be the last taste of sanity before Sandy hit.

We stayed at the world's most picturesque resort located in the town of

Morris—the Winivan. Wood fireplaces, endless red wine and gourmet meals.

And to my delight, shuffleboard. During the day we drove to the

Orvis Shooting Ground in Millbrook NY... by the end, I was hooked.

My true southern roots came out, and by the time I left, I felt like I had

developed a real knack for it (insert horn tooting). Naturally, we finished

the trip with a mini eat-athon at a local BBQ shop.

If only I had become a professional shuffle boarder... I could really have been a big deal

Man Stuff

More Man Stuff

Go on, Git!

I was so good, people gathered around to watch.
(Kidding, that was my instructor)

Best way to end the day

MANY thanks to world's weekend getaway genius- JT, who went so far as to bring
engraved flasks with our nicknames.

You Sir are our Jake Ryan.

Sorry for the Hiatus

Back to posting after a crazy month of work, travel and post Sandy-ness.

Frankensandaster

Here we go again. Bloomberg just ordered a mandatory evacuation of Zone A in manhattan. Since my building straddles zone A and B, I'm sticking here and weathering this behemoth storm. Beef Jerky? Check. Vodka? Check. Pirate's Booty? Check. Bad 80's movies? Double check.

Let the stress eating and binge drinking begin.

Gone Fishin'! (Or rather, Skeet Shootin')

Headed into Connecticut this weekend for a gentleman's weekend of skeet shooting, scotch drinking and leaf peeping. Can not wait to get a taste of the fall season and to get the heck out of this concrete jungle for the next three days. A little R&R with my two favorite people, J and R.

Nacho, Nacho Man

Another fun event for this Thursday- A GQ party honoring the one and only Nacho Figueras. Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and eyecandy. What more could a lady ask for.

UPDATE:

So this happened. I had a chance to meet him and he signed my Polo Ball.

Boyfriend knows how to rock a suit and a grown-out haircut.

You've Got Mail

Now this is how you dress up a plain shipping envelope to excite the recipient.

Fashion Week par-tay

A few weeks ago I attended a few Fashion Week after parties – one of my favorites featured passed hors d'oeuvres on intricately deisgned platters, maneuvered by male models.

Loving these looks for fall. Must get cream cape, stat.

Daydreaming

What I wouldn't give to be transported back to Italy....

Can't believe it's almost been a year since I was last there. Luckily I have a travel schedule coming up filled with three big Cs... Caymens, Cuba and Capetown.
